Just look
around. There are millions of people who are unemployed, desperate to make some
money to feed their own families or achieve something in their lives.
At the same
time, many new fortunes are being made and even… now more than ever. Greater
needs create more products. Authority feeds hungry stomachs.
When you
create a business, and strike on your own, you may be sure of the opposition
coming your way. People will try to stop and belittle you. They might be
jealous and full of hatred. No reason to explain that.
But if you
fail and are afraid to stand up after they strike you, you will not succeed.
Believing
that life should be easy and failures are uncommon, or that they define you, is
a sure way to fail once and for good.
Even
Richard Branson, a very successful individual, have been manipulated and
attacked by his friends, competition, and press.
But he
prevails, because there is something in your passion for growth, the beautiful
part of human spirit that is worth fighting for.
You will
face opposition, cruelty, but eventually, there are sweet moments that will
come and are worth the effort.
Gurbaksh
Chahal, a young multimillionaire, who came to America at a very young age with
his family, was first violently rejected by the Americans, criticized and
laughed at, then accepted, when there was no other choice.
He made
hundreds of millions of dollars through business, and says:
…somebody
should make a t-shirt that says :for every back there is a knife…
As his
family was Sikh, they wore turbans, and dressed up differently. The rejection
turned into hatred after 09.2001 attacks.
If he
didn’t rely and trust himself, he would have stopped many times. Because there
were hordes of others who happily rebelled against his ideas and will to
succeed.
It is great
to read his story, and to soak in his valuable lessons. You will find it here:
A book that
can be read in one evening, but returned to many times over.
If there is
a lesson to remember, it would be this: never stop because they told you to so.
Know your reasons, and trust your gut.
This is also a social responsibility of business, not what they tell you that it is... not to give money, but to give an example. Show people courage.
